The Tesla Enervator is a weapon specificially designed to eliminate dangerous creatures found on many colony worlds. Designed to fire highly charged particles mixed with minute molecules of dark matter, the weapon could deliver a powerful shock, while at the same time ripping apart the bonds holding molecules in place.

Most of the time, the weapon would kill a target outright. The times this did not occur, the target was often horribly wounded, allowing for a second shot to finish the job. When fired, it shoots a stream of electricity, which appears like a red-hued lightning bolt. The very air around the beam crackles and pops as the dark-matter interacts with the molecules. The target is bathed in a halo of electrical energy, sparking and cracking as the very molecules of the target are torn asunder.

The weapon appears as a stubby-barreled rifle, with brightly glowing blue concentric rings near the tip. When fired, the barrel extends out nearly a foot, separating into two halves, which help guide the energy discharge.

All versions come with a laser sight – even TE ver 1.
