Tactical Insert Plates are crafted from light-weight composites and ceramics. They are exceedingly effective against kinetic-based attacks. The plates will absorb the listed amount of hit-point damage before shattering and being rendered useless. It requires 1 minute (on average) to replace the damaged and destroyed plates in any suit equipped.

The Earth defense force advanced soldier body armor assembly designed to provide maximum protection for combat use and is standard issue battledress for EDF military forces

The armour consists of heavy-gauge and vacuum-sealed combat fatigues, and heavy body armor plates fitted with specialized pockets, which can easily fit tactical insert plates. The suit comes with heavy duty, alloy reinforced boots, gloves, cuirass, and vambraces, which can be completely sealed, giving wearer full environmental and vacuum protection.

Like security armor, this armor automatically comes with light projectors, infrared sensors and auto-CPR units as standard issue and the Non-com up suits are equipped with built-in targeting computers. Note that these standard issue armor upgrades are included in the price of the armor, and do not count towards the slots available.

The breastplate typically bears the EDF insignia, but typically has the unit’s patch and the name of the soldier wearing the armor. Many soldiers would often customize the armor, with names, pictures or other similar depictions.
