AAF or Arachnid acid flamer was developed in the war against the arachnid host. After extensive research into the ‘plasma’ used by several different types of Arachnid, scientists were able to determine the exact chemical compound, and were able to synthesize it, turning the caustic flame-like substance into a weapon that could be used against the arachnids – or any foe for that matter.
The weapon is rather bulky, and can be difficult to handle, and requires a heavy tank, which needs to be attached directly to the weapon. This eliminates any possible catastrophic explosion if the weapon is damaged, allowing the user to simply discard it without too much risk, unlike traditional back-mounted tanks. The drawback is that it often means that the weapon will run dry well before a traditional tank would.
It fires a thick stream of flaming liquid, which acts a great deal like napalm, burning and sticking to anything it touches, and can burn through even the toughest of armor and exoskeleton. Typically this weapon is only used by the strongest soldiers, and is commonly found on powered armor.
The ammunition for this weapon costs 6 credits per charge.
