Worn almost exclusively by the police and security forces that man many of the colonies, outposts and larger research ships, the Security suit series of heavy armor provide several built-in features as well as the ability to expand.

First, each suit is fitted with Kinetic plates. These fit in specialized pockets on the chest, back, upper arms and thighs of the wearer. These plates are specially designed to reduce damage sustained by physical trauma, including projectile weapons. Next the suit automatically comes with Infrared sensors as standard. Finally Riot, Advanced and Elite suits, due to the fact that they are designed to be used in areas where microgravity is usually present, have built-in Jet-Pack.

Typical upgrades include integral batons, electric stunners, and various stun-based melee weapons.

Tactical Insert Plates are crafted from light-weight composites and ceramics. They are exceedingly effective against kinetic-based attacks. The plates will absorb the listed amount of hit-point damage before shattering and being rendered useless. It requires 1 minute (on average) to replace the damaged and destroyed plates in any suit equipped.
