Designed by Morita industries to be used by mobile infantry against the Arachnid forces. It is larger and much heavier than the 200 series assault rifle, and has a much larger magazine capacity.

The ammunition used by this weapon is specifically designed to punch through the natural armor of the Arachnid forces. When used against the Arachnids – or any creature that uses an exoskeleton, the weapon automatically bypasses the targets natural DR by the level of the weapon.

Typically the weapon is only carried by the mobile forces using the powered armor, but it is not unheard of for regular unarmoured grunts to pick up and use the weapons, although if not in powered armor the weapon is considered to be unwieldy.

Finally, unless the weapon is integrated into a suit of powered armor with an autoload feature, it requires a full round action to reload the weapon, as the magazine is quite bulky and awkward to handle and insert.
