Special Abilities

Hardened Survivor (Ex): The Conveyor is completely immune to poisons and radiation, and it is able to withstand extreme conditions, even utter vacuum. Whenever the beast must make a saving Fortitude saving throw when dealing with environmental conditions, it gains a +10.

Lifter (Ex): This type of arachnid is capable of transferring its speed to any creature it is carrying. The Conveyor gains the AC creature it is carrying, as they are completely hidden by the bulk of the creature.

This type of Arachnid was specifically designed by the race to act as a conveyance for the larger and far less mobile Arachnids such as the thinkers and the Plasma Arachnids.  These creatures are roughly about 6 feet in diameter and weigh around 600 pounds. They are completely immune to blunt damage, thanks to how thick their bodies are… after all, they need to be able to support thousands upon thousands of pounds! On average, it takes 4 of these creatures to move a single thinker, while 8 to move Plasma. If any of the conveyors are killed, they can continue to move the creatures, but at a reduced movement rate. For example, if half the number is killed, the movement drops to 30 feet, and if all but one are killed, the movement drops to 15 feet.

It is very difficult to kill the creatures, as most of the time they are blessed with the protection of the creature they are carrying, and they only are found alone after their job is complete, where they will hide and wait for the order to move their charges once again.

They can be used by any of the Arachnids, but typically only carry the largest of the species. Although they are typically the fastest, they are kept behind to move the larger and slower Arachnids.

If they are forced to fight, they will use their bite quite effectively, but if given the chance, these creatures will run at the first sign of trouble.
