Nothing beats a good night's sleep, but in my campaign a good night's sleep beats you!

Nothing beats a good night's sleep, but in my campaign a good night's sleep beats you! The fatigued foe is neither alert nor prepared for adventure, and that is the perfect time to strike!

RESTLESS SLEEP

School necromancy; Level bard 1, witch 1, anti-paladin 1

Casting Time 10 minutes

Components V, S, M (a pinch of cricket legs, a rusty bedspring, or the mummified nose of man with sleep apnea)

Range close (25 ft. + 5 ft./2 levels)

Target one creature/level, no two of which can be more than 30 ft. apart.

Duration 8 hours (see text)

Saving Throw Fortitude negates; Spell Resistance yes

You must cast this spell on targets immediately prior to resting, or who have been at rest for no more than an hour. While under the effects of this spell, all targeted creatures experience an uncomfortable, dreamless sleep that provides little rest. All subjected creatures gain no benefit for 8 hours or rest (e.g. they do not recover 1 hit point per character level, they cannot prepare spells for the day, etc.). Upon waking, those under the effect of this spell must attempt an immediate Fortitude save or be fatigued.

Restless sleep counters and dispels restful sleep and vice versa.
