Bolt of Chaos
The next time a Lawful spell slinger fires an arrow of law, you fire right back with a bolt of chaos!
In the unending conflict between Order and Chaos, game designers tend to favor Order. Not me! The next time a Lawful spell slinger fires an arrow of law, you fire right back with a bolt of chaos!
BOLT OF CHAOS
School evocation [chaotic]; Level cleric 2, anti-paladin 2
Casting Time 1 standard action
Components V, S, DF (a holy symbol)
Range close (25. ft. + 5 ft./2 levels)
Effect crackling projectile of chaotic energy
Duration instantaneous (1 round); see text
Saving Throw Will partial (see text); Spell Resistance yes
You fire a crackling bolt of pure chaos from your holy/unholy symbol at any one target in range as a ranged touch attack. A lawful creature struck by a bold of chaos takes 1d8 points of damage per two caster levels (maximum 5d8). A lawful outsider instead takes 1d6 points of damage per caster level (maximum 10d6) and is dazed for 1 round. A successful Will save reduces the damage by half and negates the daze effect. This spell deals only half damage to creatures that are neither chaotic nor lawful, and they are not dazed. The bolt has no effect on chaotic creatures.
A bolt of chaos counters and dispells an arrow of law and vice versa.
