Another campaign seed, one based on the film Death Race 2000 and the rpg from Steve Jackson Games, Autoduel.
Aliens invaded Earth, took over and wanted a fun way to exterminate the local population and make some money by betting with other aliens off world. So they came up with the Great Races. There are several hundred world wide, enough to kill many thousands of humans per season. Each game has one winning team and the rest are slain in the field or at the end if they lose. As the teams are whittled down, the prizes for winning, which include alien technology for weapons and armor for the cars, increase in power. Some of these add Madness. When it comes down to the final nine teams, the real fun begins.
The aliens set up three kalipot, alien demiplanes with strange elements meant to make the races more difficult and deadly. Some years there are no winners as they all die from being eaten by monsters or slain by alien physics. Several hundred thousand humans are placed in each and the points are increased so that each missed will have an impact on who wins. These people almost never survive, the only known examples being those who were rescued by others. The cars are replaced by alien machines, ones that add significant amounts of Madness to the driver and navigator every time a weapon or other artifact is used. Two kelipot are used to reduce the teams to two and the last is the most strange, so much so that the game is not televised- the aliens don't want the entire population insane. Not yet at least.
If there is a winning team, they are allowed to die of old age. Even if they have gone completely insane.
