Special Abilities

Mind Link (Su): As a standard action, a Sectoid can link its mind to any other Sectoid within 100 ft. As a result, the linked Sectoid gains +2 to hit, 6 additional hit points, and acts as if is under the haste spell. This lasts for 1 minute or until the original linker is killed. If either is killed, the other must immediately make a Fort save (DC 20) or die instantly. The Sectoid can use this once per day.

Suppression (Ex): As a full round action, the creature can designate a single target. It can fire at the target, which is required to make a Will save (DC 12) or become shaken for a single round. The save is only required if the target is hit by the shot. The creature can use this ability every round.

Telepathy (Su): All members of the Sectoid clone race are capable of telepathy. They can use this with one another, and it can link up to 6 Sectoids at a time, and the range is line of sight.

Sectoid Subtype Graft

This subtype is applied to the cloned aliens known as Sectoids.

Traits: Low light vision 60 ft., +2 to will, suppression, and telepathy.

Sectoids are small, grey-skinned humanoid creatures. They have huge black eyes and appear to be both without a mouth and a nose. The average Sectoid is only 4 feet in height, and weigh a paltry 60 pounds. Typically they are naked, and have no sexual characteristics.

All members of the species are clones, and are identical genetically to one another. They do have individual personalities, but for the most part, they live only to serve their overlords. They are incapable of speech, but are fully capable of using telepathy, although they cannot use this on other creatures. When they do make noises, it is simple grunts and screeches, especially if they are wounded or killed.

They are intelligent, and are capable of using tactics. They also are capable of wearing light armor, but they are rarely ever found using it, as their leaders consider them to be cannon-fodder. Sectoids can use almost any type of small arms, even melee weapons, but they prefer to fight at a distance. Most of the time they are armed with Plasma pistols, which they are quite adept at wielding.

In combat, they will work in conjunction with one another, with one or two staying in the rear, linking their minds with others, increasing their combative effectiveness. Others will use their suppression ability to try and demoralize enemy combatants, giving them a significant edge.

They are often found in large numbers, accompanying Sectoid commanders and Advanced Sectoids.
