Special Abilities

Decoys (Ex): The unit is fitted with a special decoy electronics suite, flares and chaff. Whenever a homing ranged attack is used against the unit (such as missiles), the KAC is increased by +4. This is an automatic function and does not have to be activated.

Hover (Ex): Although the unit is fully airborne, it is capable of moving as much or as little as it desires, and can even hover without moving and still use its turret.

Hyper-Alloy combat chassis (Ex): The skeletal structure of the HK dragon is constructed of a special alloy, making it very strong and resistant to damage. As a result, the terminator gains a DR equal to its CR against all physical attacks. Furthermore, the terminator gains a +2 to all Fort saves.

Sustained Fire (Ex): Whenever the unit attacks the same target over multiple rounds, it gains a +1 to hit each round, up to a maximum of +3 to hit after four continuous rounds. If the unit fails to fire upon the same target, or switches target, any bonuses are lost.

The latest generation in the HK series, the ‘Dragon’ is a very fast and maneuverable autonomous robot. It is not as intelligent as the Terminator series, and was created as a support and reconnaissance vehicle, which could also be used to transport and deploy various terminator units on the battlefield.

Designed to be supremely maneuverable, the ‘Dragon’ often singles out enemy vehicles or high-value targets, and often was used as a ‘bunker-buster’ to break through enemy strongholds, although this was often left to the ‘bomber’ version of this robotic unit.

As stated, the AI controlling the unit is not as bright as the Terminator or other units. It is often given simple tasks to scout locations and even wait at long-range distances to observe enemy units and movement, thanks to its excellent sensors. It will attack upon being discovered, and it typically will specifically seek out enemy vehicles, as they tend to prove to be the biggest danger towards Terminators and other Skynet units.

Quite often Skynet would deploy these units, loaded typically with Terminator units, deep behind enemy lines. Each unit can safely carry up to 8 human-sized Terminators, and often they would transport the T-800 and newer infiltration units.

It could also be used to ferry in tanks and other similar HK units, but due to the size, they could only transport one at a time. Transporting such units also reduced the number of Terminators they could carry by half.  A pack could still deliver a large number of Terminators and HK’s to anywhere on the battlefield with relative ease.
