Special Abilities

Regeneration (Ex):  Thanks due to the composition of these creatures cellular structure; these creatures are able to regenerate 5 hit points of damage per round.  Fire and Acid damage cannot be regenerated.

Shapeshift (Su): As a full round action, the creature can change from either form to the other. It can shift to match the physical appearance of any humanoid, gaining a +10 to disguise, or it can shift back into its natural form. It can do this any time it wishes.

Shockwave (Su): The creature is capable of slamming its fists into the ground, causing a powerful shockwave to emanate from its location. It has a radius of 15 ft., and all targets in the radius will suffer 1d8+5 points of damage, and must make a Ref save (DC 15) or be knocked prone. This is a standard action, and they can use this ability at will.

The Faceless are a specialized alien that was created with the express purpose of infiltrating society to spy, or just to wreak as much havoc as possible.

The creatures are intelligent, and are fully capable of acting like any humanoid they are attempting to imitate. They can occasionally screw up though, and make people question, then they show their true form and nature, and the blood begins to fly.

When not disguised, the creatures are quite massive, standing around 8 feet in height. Their bodies appear to be made of some sort of semi-solid organic matter, which appears to be wet and almost flowing. Huge black claws grow from the tips of their hands, and can inflict terrifying damage. The creatures get their name from the lack of any kind of facial feature, other than a pair of angry, glowing red eyes.

Engaging in combat with the creatures can be tasking. They are purely melee combatants, and love to engage groups of enemy combatants. They take full advantage of their feats, and love to use their shockwave ability to knock enemy targets to the ground, where other aliens can engage and take advantage of the disadvantaged combatants.

The Faceless are almost always found in groups of civilians, and attempt to hide among them, waiting for the perfect time to shapeshift and reveal their true nature. They can be revealed through the use of technology, such as genetic scanners or other such devices, and if they are revealed, they will immediately shift their forms and attack.

If the opportunity presents itself, they will use stealth to sneak up on enemy combatants and shift into their natural form, and then attack from the rear. Sometimes they will co-ordinate their attack with others of their kind, especially if they are able to gain flanking.

The Faceless can be spoken with, but if they are in disguise, they will use this opportunity to gather as much information as they possibly can, before turning on the speaker and killing them.

It should be noted that these creatures have never been seen using any form of weapon, be it melee or ranged.
