Muton Berserker armor is specially designed to conform to the shape of the Berserker, allowing exceedingly free movement, unlike the heavier armor worn by the majority of this cloned race. The almost appears as if it is reddish muscle with white tendons, but it is designed to look like this – it has an additional intimidation factor. Also there are small disk-like protrusions all over the armor, which are in fact generator nodes for the built-in force field.

Although it does not provide quite the same protection as Muton heavy armor, it protects equally against both energy and physical attacks.

Thanks to the intimidating appearance, the armor gives the wearer a bonus to their intimidate skill equal to half of the armor level (rounded down). The force field is also part of the armor, with the level of field listed on in the armor description (prices included in the cost of the armor).

Also instead of suffering a penalty to movement, the armor actually helps the wearer move even faster. The speed increase is listed in the armor table.

Despite the body-hugging design of the armor, it is actually quite heavy and is considerably more bulky than typical light armor, although still not as encumbering as the Muton heavy armor.
