Special Abilities

Hover (Ex): Although the unit is fully airborne, it is capable of moving as much or as little as it desires, and can even hover without moving and still use its sensors and pistol.

Signal Reinforcements (Ex): As a full round action, the Aerostat can send out a powerful high-density information packet. This will be intercepted by any Skynet units within a 10 mile radius, and the units will converge on the location as soon as possible. The data packet contains not only visual images, but intelligence such as weapons, armor, geographical location, direction, speed and other such information. Skynet Terminators and other units will use this information to track, hunt and destroy the enemy. As such, after receiving the information, all such units gain a +10 to survival (tracking) to intercept marked targets.

This small unit was created with one mission in mind – reconnaissance. These units were typically sent out to scout resistant locations and explore ruins and facilities to look for those who survived ‘Judgement Day’.

Aerostats look very similar to drones which were created for commercial and recreational use, and are usually only about 2.5 feet in diameter. The unit uses high-speed propellers (located in the center of the body) for propulsion, and are highly maneuverable. They are also exceedingly fast, and quiet, using their stealth to gather information on human or resistance targets.

Once enough data has been gathered, they will send out a general ‘burst’ data package to any Skynet units within range. If none are located within this range, the unit will not engage, but will instead attempt to flee in order to eventually deliver the data gathered.

If forced to fight, the unit comes equipped with a single barreled handgun, built into the body. It can fire this weapon in order to kill possible hostiles if it cannot escape. This does not happen often, as the units are very fast and highly agile and can take advantage of this speed in order to escape.

The best thing that can be done is to destroy these units as quickly as possible. If they do not, resistance can expect a visit by far deadlier Skynet forces in a matter of minutes.
