By using this mutation, the mutant can enter a form of hibernation by spinning a cocoon of tough silken fibers, which sprout from its pores. The reasons to use this mutation are many and varied; the first being it greatly accelerates the mutant’s natural healing. The mutant will heal its power score per day while inside the cocoon, and any lost limbs will be regrown at a rate of 30 minus the power score in days. If the mutant has suffered multiple lost limbs, they will all grow back at the same time.  On top of these benefits the mutant will purge any disease, poison or other toxins from its body during this time, automatically healing all damage and removing symptoms. This will also heal statistic damage at the rate described for healing other damage.

Another effect the mutant can choose is that the mutant does not age, nor does the mutant require any type of sustenance or oxygen while inside this protective cocoon. It is even capable of surviving in the vacuum of space. The cocoon has an armor class equal to 7 plus the power score modifier (low modifiers will decrease the AC) and a hit point total equal to five times the power score. If the cocoon is breached, the mutant must make a saving throw versus death or die instantly.

Before creating the cocoon, the mutant must determine the length of time it will stay in this state of suspended amination. The minimum time is seventy-two hours, while the maximum is the power score in weeks. The mutant must also be completely naked in order to enter the hibernation, and cannot bring anything with it inside.
