Stress and the mutant do not mix well together. The mutant’s mind has developed a specific method of dealing with stress. Whenever the mutant is exposed to extremely stressful situations (heavily damaged, seeing a friend or loved one hurt or killed, failed a saving throw, and so on), the mutant must make a saving throw versus stun or lose 1d3 plus power score modifier days of memory! This could result in the mutant forgetting how to use an artifact it recently uncovered, important details, people it encountered, or tasks at hand.
