The mutant must first possess a mutation which can be activated. If the mutant does not have a mutation that is activated, this mutation is dormant, or the ML can allow a reroll. Whenever the mutant is exposed to great stress, injury, or other similar situations, the ML can force the player to make a save against death with a penalty equal to one plus the power score modifier or the mutant will activate a random mutation. The mutation will be used against a random target (friend or foe) or will be used until the mutations duration wears off, or the mutant is knocked unconscious or killed. The only saving grace is if the mutant has used the mutation and it no longer can be used, then nothing happens. Effects may vary.
