Now that I have publicly debuted my new Chaps & AppsTM (C&ATM) "cowboys in space" role-playing game and evoked some interest in it, it is important to me that it be a supported game that others can run and continue to enjoy! With that in mind, here are the game specs for the Gatling Pistol, a weapon that was introduced in the C&ATM demo game that I ran at the ConClave science fiction convention in Livonia, Michigan, on October 7 (which anyone interested can view at d-Infinity's YouTube channel).

Gatling Pistol: This heavy, unwieldy weapon consists of a rotating battery of six barrels mounted onto an otherwise normal looking pistol body. It has a range of 10/60 and is very difficult to control, such that attacks made with it are always at disadvantage. If an attack with a gatling pistol succeeds, roll to see how many of its shots hit: 1d6 if fired one-handed; 1d5+1 if fired two-handed or equipped with a Stabilization app; and 1d4+2 if fired two-handed and equipped with a Stabilization app. Each shot that hits inflicts 1d8 force damage, with the first one being modified for the shooter's Dexterity modifier. Such weapons were originally developed for military use but, because of their high cost and unreliability, saw only brief service before being dumped onto the surplus market.
