Break Object: A Nuisance Spell for Pathfinder

Nice sword you got there. It would be a shame if something . . . happened to it! With break object you can do more than make empty threats about other people's items. You can cause them to become useless with a thought.

Target one object of up to 1 lb./level

Duration instandaneous

Saving Throw: Will negates (object); Spell Resistance: yes (object)

This spell damages object, causing them to become worn our, broken down, and less usefull, inflicting 1D4 points of damage (ignoring hardness) to the object. The object gains the broken condition if it looses more than half its total hit points. If this spell reduces an item to 0 hit points, the object falls apart into its component parts, which will need to be gathered up before the object can be repaired. Magic items can be damaged by this spell, but you must have a caster level equal to or higher than that of the object. If a magic item is destroyed by this spell, repairing the item does not restore is magical abilities. This spell has no effect on legendary items or constructs.

Break object counters and dispels mending and make whole and vice versa.
