The World's Teeth
In response to Mike's Fine Art challenge from the August 25th episode of d-Infinity Live I converted several landscapes by the 19th century Luminist artist Albert Bierstadt into fantasy art. I had originally seen some of Bierstadt's work in the the Smithsonian Art museum in Washington D.C., about a year ago, and was struck by how perfectly suited his paintings of the Rocky Mountains were as inspiration for a fantasy RPG. It occurred to me, that if Bierstadt had included dragons in his pieces, no one would question the work as contemporary fantasy art, and hopefully my "bastardized" (thanks Clint) paintings below show you what I mean.
