The mutant is able to reduce a specific type of damage. The mutant can ignore its power score in damage by the specified type of attack per round. For example, a mutant with a power score of ten has damage reduction against kinetic damage, and during combat the mutant comes under attack by three other mutants using clubs, each doing 1d6 damage The first two attacks do a 3 and 5 points of damage respectively, so the mutant ignores the damage from both. The last attack hits for 6 points so 4 points penetrate to injure the mutant.
