Happy New Year! Skirmisher Publishing’s team members have continued to make progress on the Platinum Edition of City Builder: A Guide to Designing Communities since we posted our last update and wanted to share our latest accomplishments with you.

* Our editors have continued moving ahead with expanding the consolidated book to include the 15 new places we unlocked as Stretch Goals during the Kickstarter campaign for this project and incrementally releasing the chapters containing them as self-standing volumes.

++ We have completed one more of those incremental titles, "Armories, Blacksmithies & Other Craftsman Places (City Builder Volume 2)" and re-released it at DriveThruRPG. It now includes the entries on Cartography Workshops, Mints, and Taxidermy Workshops that we unlocked as stretch goals during the Kickstarter campaign (in addition to the existing and now-revised entries on Armories, Blacksmithies, Carpentries, Clothiers, Glazieries, Jewelry Workshops, Leatherworking Shops, Sculpting Workshops, Shipyards, Stonemasonries, and Weaponsmithies). It also includes all new illustrations, including a cover image by fantasy artist Amanda Kahl, and at least two adventure hooks for each sort of place.

* All of the new material for the revised and updated editions of the remaining two incremental volumes/chapters — “Volume 7: Inns, Taverns, Bathhouses & Other Service Places” and “Volume 9: Shrines, Temples, Cemeteries & Other Religious Places” — has been written, edited, and laid out. We are currently in the process of doing a final proof of those volumes and completing the new cover art for two of them and as soon as we have accomplished those things will release and make them available as well. We will then be able to make the final push on both the PDF and print editions of the complete, 85-place version of City Builder and provide them to backers.

That’s it for now! We sincerely hope you are pleased with the progress we have been making on this project and our efforts to steadily move rewards into the hands of its backers. We are also pleased to be hearing from backers how they have been using the City Builder content we have thus far provided and would love to hear more stories like that!
