Skirmisher's Comicpalooza Coloring Contest Winners
Following the release of its first adult coloring book earlier this year, Skirmisher Publishing held its first-ever coloring contest at the June 17-19 Comicpalooza fan convention in Houston, Texas! Skirmisher and d-Infinity staff have reviewed all of the colored images submitted by attendees at the convention and from them selected the three winners that appear here. Contest participants were able to select the images they wanted to color from three different collections, Skirmisher's Adventures of Hajji Baba of Ispahan coloring book and two projects in progress with the working titles "Voyagers" and "Illustrated Homer." Each of these winners will receive a gift certificate that they can use toward Skirmisher Publishing titles at the DriveThruRPG retail site and will automatically be sent copies of the company's next coloring book release. You can also watch some of the video we shot about the coloring contest.

1st Place: Amelia Metz ($50 gift certificate). This image from "Voyagers" was especially challenging because it contains so much black background and Amelia did a terrific job with everything from big elements like the colorful volcanic eruption to little details like the ship's railing and sailors' clothing.
2nd Place: Jocelyn and Nicholas Bizic ($30 gift certificate). Jocelyn and Nicholas really make this dynamic image from "Illustrated Homer" pop and do a good job using color to differentiate the opposing factions depicted in it.
3rd Place: Maryanne Snelling ($10 gift certificate). Maryanne made some nice color choices in this image from Adventures of Hajji Baba of Ispahan.
Honorable Mention: Marjorie Smith. This coloring by Marjorie is absolutely a winner and her being a Skirmisher staff member is the only reason she could not officially submit it for the contest! We were especially impressed with the license she took with the background, which is channeling a lot of Vincent Van Gogh's Starry Night.
