Kickstarter Project Update #28: 'World of Kos' and More!

It has been a busy summer for Skirmisher Publishing's Swords of Kos Fantasy Campaign Setting and we wanted to bring you up to speed with everything that has been happening with it! Highlights include a cover image for the final volume of the main sourcebook, and a trip to Kos itself. 

It has been a busy summer for Skirmisher Publishing's Swords of Kos Fantasy Campaign Setting and we wanted to bring you up to speed with everything that has been happening with it!

* Skirmisher Publishing editors Michael O. Varhola and Brendan Cass spent most of August on the road and in the course of their adventures did a considerable amount of research that will be incorporated into the final version of the campaign setting and adventures associated with it. Varhola spent four weeks in Greece and time in Athens and on the islands of Crete, Santorini/Thera, Rhodes, Nisyros, and Kos itself, and you can get a glimpse of his "Aegean Odyssey" on his TravelBlogue. Cass spent time in Budapest, Hungary, in Italy, and made a whirlwind, day-and-a-half visit to Kos Island, where he and Varhola visited a number of significant sites, including a fortress that the hero Heracles once spent time in.

* We are now working on finishing up the last volume of the campaign setting, "World of Kos," and once it is complete we will send it out to backers entitled to it and then compile all the individual sections into the single consolidated sourcebook that we will send to print. We just received the image that will appear on the cover of "World of Kos," a wonderful illustration by fantasy artist Bob Greyvenstein depicting four adventurers standing beneath the mountain ridge known as the Aegis at the western end of Kos Island.
