This matched set of weapons was crafted by a powerful demonologist. Each of the weapons has smooth, blue-grey wooden hafts, and steel heads.

 

Mace of Baudur. This flanged footman's weapon is +1 to hit and damage for every four levels of the wielder. It is an additional +1 to hit and damage if used by a priest.

Flail of Baudur. The Flail has three detachable heads, each of which has separate properties; none of them will function independently of the haft. It takes two full rounds to switch from one head to another. The weapon and all of its heads weigh a total of 30 pounds.

1) This rough, spherical head appears to be of beaten steel. It has no pluses to hit, but it is able to hit any Type A creature. The weapon will inflict 1-8 points of damage to Type As, +1-8 for every four levels of the user, plus an additional 1-8 points if the user is a demonologist. Thus, it can be used by any 1st level character to inflict 2-16 points of damage to Type As, and a 1st level demonologist will inflict 3-24 points of damage to such targets.

2) This head is a series of short, heavy, steel chains. It is +1, +3 versus summoned or enchanted creatures, both to hit and damage, Once per day for every three levels of the wielder, it can Dispel Evil, as per the spell, on a successful to hit roll; affected creatures that are Type As save at -2 if the weapon is being used by a demonologist.

3) This is a flanged steel head. It is +1 to hit and damage, +3 versus a creature type which may be designated once each day. Versus such designated targets, the weapon inflicts 2-8+3 points of damage, +1 point per level of the wielder; it will inflict a further +2 points on designated creatures that are Type A in nature if the wielder is a demonologist.
