‘At the Shrine of Othrys’ Update #14: Add-Ons!

‘At the Shrine of Othrys’ Update #14: Add-Ons!

Thanks to all 230 of the people who have thus far backed Skirmisher Publishing’s Kickstarter campaign for our “At the Shrine of Othrys” fantasy RPG and fiction project, funded it 215%, and taken it past the $6,000 mark!

As a result of the three stretch goals we have unlocked, backers will now be receiving full-color maps in the adventure that is the main reward for this campaign and PDF copies of two separate D&D 5E sourcebooks, “Speed Round 5E” and “Epic Boons.” And, if we can reach $7,000 before this campaign ends in three days, we will unlock “Cult of the Fish-Born,” a major expansion to “At the Shrine of Othrys” that will allow characters to advance to at least 5th level.

In this update we want to tell you about the eleven add-ons we have made available to backers of this campaign, all of which will be provided as PDF downloads shortly after this campaign concludes (e.g., the first week of October). Many are available here for up to 50% off the normal prices for which they are available at the Skirmisher Publishing online store and DriveThruRPG. So, every one you opt for will get you more great content at a good price and help us unlock one last stretch goal before this campaign ends!

Additional monsters that appear in this module include a Kobold Beastmaster, Trapmaker, and Shaman (along with four new spells).

Krampus (5E PDF); $1: Krampus is a devil who, once a year, is unleashed into the world to kidnap as many wicked children as he can stuff into his basket and carry them back to the frigid netherworld that is his home to serve as slaves in his workshops.

Men & Monsters of Ethiopia (5E PDF); $3 ($4.99 normally): Ethiopia is one of the oldest, strangest, and most fascinating places in the world and its history, peoples, legends, and folklore can serve as rich sources of inspiration for encounters, whole adventures, or even entire campaigns. Contents of this 50-page sourcebook are extrapolated from such lore.

Swords of Kos Fiction (PDFs); $16 ($31.86 normally): This add-on includes PDF copies of 14 works of swords-and-sorcery fantasy fiction by multiples authors, ranging in length from short story to novella, set in the shared world of the Swords of Kos Fantasy Campaign Setting!

Viking Warriors (5E PDF); $2 ($2.99 normally): “Viking Warriors” is 20-page sourcebook devoted to our version of the Mythic North — a fantastic region that corresponds largely to what are now known as Norway, Iceland, Sweden, and Denmark and which incorporates the myths, legends, folklore, and history associated with it — and is designed to help facilitate adventures in it.

Thanks again to those of you who have already supported this project! Please help spread the word about it so that no one who might be interested in it will miss out. And if you have not yet backed “At the Shrine of Othrys” please come on board before this campaign ends so that we can take it as far as possible and you can benefit from all of the great things we are doing with it.
