This transmutation causes a sword to extend and become a series of razor-sharp blades connected by chain links and flexible cable. The sword gains the disarm, nonlethal, reach, and trip traits of a whip, and can be used to perform combat maneuvers that require either a whip or sword. The whip-sword can inflict lethal or nonlethal damage at the wielders' option. The whip-sword is considered both a whip and a sword, and the wielder must be proficient with both or else suffer the usual penalties for using a weapon with which she is not proficient.
