If you've got chips and soda you've got fare for a pleasant evening among friends. If you've got nachos, a party sub, and a few bottles of the good stuff, you've got the foundation for a killer par-tay! Why not have your bard cast something useful for a change?

CATER PARTY

School conjuration (creation); Level bard 5

Casting Time 10 minutes

Components V, S, M (an amusing conical hat)

Range close (25 ft. + 5 ft./2 levels)

Effect snacks and booze to sustain a party of three humanoids per level for 6 hours

Duration 6 hours; see text

Saving Throw none; Spell Resistance no

This spell functions as create food and water, except the food conjured is flavorful, typically bite sized, and appropriate to the festivities you wish to cater (e.g., Swedish meatballs, nachos, petit fours, etc). Likewise, instead of conjuring water, this spell conjures a variety of wines and liquors, along with mixers and plenty of ice. The fare created decays after 6 hours, becoming stale an unappetizing, though a casting of purify food and water restores it to full freshness for another 6 hours. The food and drink created by this spell is nourishing, but plays havoc on the eater's digestion. Consuming party fare two or more days in a row will eventually leave the eater malnourished with a wicked hangover and rebellious bowel.
