‘City Builder’ Platinum Edition Kickstarter Update #24: Backer Loyalty Rewards!

Michael O. Varhola

As we enter the last phase of this Kickstarter campaign for a "Platinum Edition" of Skirmisher Publishing’s City Builder: A Guide to Designing Communities we have started preparing to move into fulfillment mode so that we can get everybody’s rewards to them on schedule! That will mean getting PDF copies of the revised, expanded, and updated book into people’s hands by October and hardcover print copies of it by November.

We want to thank our backers for sticking with this project by giving them something immediately, however, and have therefore decided to send them PDF copies of up to three bestselling sourcebooks of ours that we developed in conjunction with the first edition of City Builder. We will provide backers with coupons for 1¢ downloads of these titles from DriveThruRPG within a day of this campaign ending.

* $10 Apprentice and $20 Journeymen Backers, who will be receiving PDF copies of the Platinum Edition of City Builder, will now also receive a PDF copy of our Kos Island 36-page universal sourcebook. Among other things, it includes entries on 10 specific places corresponding to general sorts of places described in City Builder. It is also the publication of ours that is most like the “In the Footsteps of Hercules” bonus publication we are producing for backers of this project and can give some sense of what we are going to be doing with it.

* $25 Craftsman and $36 Master Craftsman Backers, who will be receiving at-cost print copies of the Platinum Edition of City Builder, will now also receive PDF copies of Kos Island and the affiliated Kos City 76-page universal sourcebook. This book contains entries for 50 specific places corresponding to general sorts of places from City Builder.

* $80 Guildmaster Backers will now also receive PDF copies of Kos Island, Kos City, and the related Lands Beyond Kos 54-page universal sourcebook. It contains detailed descriptions of 16 different nations — including the one where the “In the Footsteps of Hercules” companion volume is located — brief entries on nine regions, and writeups on three specific places corresponding to general sorts of places from City Builder.

* $500 Lord-Mayor Backers will receive both PDF and at-cost print copies of the 360-page Swords of Kos Fantasy Campaign Setting, which contains all three of the afore-mentioned publications (along with three others).
