Day thirteen of our Kickstarter campaign for a "Platinum Edition" of Skirmisher Publishing’s City Builder: A Guide to Designing Communities continued to move along steadily and early on the afternoon of day fourteen we unlocked a new Stretch Goal!

* When we hit $14,000 we unlocked the Mint, a new craftsman place that will be written by original City Builder co-author Jim Clunie. Coinage is one of hallmarks of sophisticated mercantile societies and the places devoted to creating money are among those most closely guarded from bandits, foreign agents, and other enemies.

* When we reach the $15,000 mark we will unlock the Trade Fair, a new mercantile place that will be written by original City Builder author Michael O. Varhola. Seasonal fairs where merchants meet to trade goods from different lands are key to the economies of many communities and the countries of which they are part, and can also have important religious and entertainment aspects.

“One of my earliest holiday memories is of visiting the Christkindlesmarkt, the annual Christmas market that has been held in Nuremburg since the Middle Ages,” Varhola said. “Seasonal fairs like it have long held an iconic place in many communities and are something we are looking forward to helping storytellers incorporate into their own scenarios in a fun and compelling way.”

Thanks to everyone who has come on board with this project and helped bring it to the point it is at! It becomes a better value for its supporters every day, so please also tell your friends why they should back it too and help us get out the word about it so we can take it as far as possible for everyone.
