Light armor that has been specifically designed to be used by the reptilian races such as the Lamia, Medusa, Naga, Serpent men and Vipers, this armor provides protection for the torso, arms and head. It is constructed of light-weight metal composite alloys which overlap one another, mimicking the natural scales of the serpent-folk.  The coloration varies from model to model, indicating the version. The basic armor is obsidian, while 2 is red, 3 is blue, 4 is emerald, 5 is white and 6 is gold.

Specifically designed to conform to the serpentine body, it is highly flexible, and actually enhances the creature’s natural agility, giving them a bonus when it comes to avoiding possible damage. This translates into a bonus to the wearer’s reflex save.  Furthermore, the armor’s alloy is highly resistant (giving it a resistance equal to 1.5 times the level of the armor) to the effects of acid, of which many of the creatures tend to use in their venom.  The major drawback is that due to the design and the alloys used in its construction, the armor does not protect as well against physical attacks, although does provide excellent protection against energy-based attacks.

Lastly, this armor can be worn by non-Serpentoid races, but the EAC, KAC are both reduced by -3 and they do not gain the Reflex bonus, but the armor still does provide the same protection against acid, and it has the same max dex bonus.
