mutant can create this wall only once per day, and it will continue to burn for 4d6+6 rounds. Often the mutant will create the wall in order to ‘box in’ targets that are proving to be too difficult for it to handle, and it will use this wall to cover its escape.

Lastly, if forced to, the creature can attack physically, but it is loath to do so. But any attacks it makes using its hands will do an additional 1d6 points of thermal-based damage.

Any artifacts or items carried by creatures targeted by any of these creatures’ fire-based attacks are subject to a saving throw versus energy, or suffer 1d3 condition levels of damage. The saving throw is based upon the character who is holding the items. However, if the Mutant Lord has Wisdom from the Wastelands issue 1: Artifacts, Manuals and Toolkits , the item can instead make a saving throw versus thermal instead.

It has been discovered that this mutant is highly susceptible to cold-based attacks. Any cold-based weapon or attack that strikes it automatically does triple damage, and any saving throws against cold-based attacks suffer a -4.

Lastly, unlike their cousins, these creatures do not keep any sort of artifact or treasure. They take great delight in burning such items up so that others cannot use them in the future.

Mutations: Bizarre appearance (d), control light waves, energy retaining cell structure (modified), flight; psionic, immune to thermal energy, natural armor (modified), neural telekinesis, vulnerable to cold.
