Another creature that was created by the as-of-yet discovered mad geneticist that has unleashed his or hers bizarre creations upon the world. Well before the final wars there were those who had managed to recreate actual dinosaurs using the DNA found in many of the avian species.

As has been said time and again, just because you can does not mean that you should, and the strangely twisted mines of the group that has become known as the Chimerians, created another monstrosity, mixing the DNA of the Sea Horse with that of a Tyrannosaurus Rex.

Instead of creating a monstrous creature that roamed the shorelines of the North America, they created a creature that has the body of a Sea Horse and the head and arms of the ancient predator. And the creature is only about a foot in height, but has all the ferocity of its long-extinct predecessor.

The creatures hunt in small schools, and are able to kill and devour creatures much larger than themselves – due to the fact that they are incredibly fast, far faster than many would give them credit for. Although small, the bite is exceptionally powerful and a small school of these creatures can easily kill a much larger target.

When hunting, they do not use any tactics; they simply swarm a target and bite until it no longer moves. Even if the target is able to fight back, they will typically stay and fight to the death, only being forced to make a moral check after 75% of their numbers have been dispatched.

If they lose 50% of their numbers, they will let out a collective sonic shriek. This attack will cause 1d6 points of sonic damage per surviving member (so if there are 6, then it will cause 6d6 points of damage). The shriek will cover a radius of 45 feet and anyone caught in the radius must make two saving throws. The first is against energy and if it succeeds, the victim takes half damage. If this succeeds, the second throw is not required. If it fails, then a second save versus energy is required. If it fails, the target is deafened for 2d6 hours. If the victim rolls a natural 1, the deafness is permanent. These creatures are immune to the effect of their roar, and as such are also immune to the effects of sonic.

They make their homes in organic rubble, typically piles of rotting sea-week or trees, anything that can provide good nesting material. They lay eggs once per year, a single group producing 1d3 eggs per member. It takes three months for the eggs to develop and hatch, and then another 3 months for the creatures to grow to adult-size.
