New Humans are a recent discovery in the ruined world. Many that have encountered these creatures say that they come from hidden underground vaults, shelters or redoubts and are in fact the descendants of those who fled to these locations to escape the final wars.

What is so odd about these creatures is that they have been discovered all over the globe and seemed to have appeared at the exact same time. This has led scholars and others to speculate that these ‘New Humans’ as they call themselves to have been deliberately created by some unknown technology or process left over from the people who caused the final wars.

Physically, the these mutants are massive and incredibly imposing. They appear as heavily muscled males that are typically 8’ in height, although true monsters standing upwards of 18’ have been spotted. They easily weigh around 600 pounds, with the scholars speculating that the ‘ behemoth’ version of these creatures weigh in the range of several tons at least.

These mutant humans are completely hairless and the skin is thick and a sickly shade of yellow. The lips are pulled back from the mouths, making it appear as if they are constantly snarling. The veins stand out on their skin and have a nearly greenish tinge to them, although the blood coursing through their veins is a deep red.

Also, there is no difference between the sexes. No females have ever been seen; although evidence suggests these creatures started life as pure humans and that about half of these creatures were at one time female. How they became these monstrosities is a mystery and these creatures will not discuss it with outsiders.

They live together in large groups that are fashioned after military units, with a Brute taking the position of a NCO or non-commissioned officer. They are typically encountered in small squads (usually 10 to 12) although smaller groups of scouts are more common.

These Brutes or other leaders are usually about 2-4’ taller than the rest of the New Humans and have six additional hit dice, although they don’t have lower AC’s. About one in five communities will have one or more of the ‘Behemoth’ mutants in their ranks as well.

These mutants are never encountered without artifact firearms as well as melee weapons, and are known to use technological artifacts and are quite adept at repairing what they have.

They must eat living flesh, and whenever they raid a community, they always take prisoners of pure Humans as well as livestock and other mutants. The other creatures are consumed as they travel, or taken back to their communities to be used as food later on.

The practice of taking pure humans, as well
