Lorecall Spells for Advanced Dungeons and Dragons

1- cooking is possible without heat.

3- as long as it can be chewed, it will be turned into good food by this spell. Poisons, diseases, curses, etc. are destroyed.

Convergent Task- if the recipient is also under Fire-Building Lorecall at the 3 slot level, they can turn even metals and stone into food. This requires use of fire.

 

Blacksmithing Lorecall

0- double the hit points of the objects created. This applies only to objects.

1- +5 to the saving throws of the metal objects created.

3- create complex machines (clockwork, steamtech). Metal golems and other constructs have an additional 50% hit dice but the price likewise increases.

Convergent Task- if the recipient is also under Carpentry Lorecall at the 1 slot level, they can smith wood as if it was metal and apply all the bonuses of both spells.

 

Carpentry Lorecall

0- can be used to shape living wood.

1- +5 to saving throws of wooden objects created.

3- can be used to create objects much stronger than they appear. A small house could be placed on a sapling. Wooden golems and other constructs have an additional 25% hit dice but the price likewise increases.

 

Weaving Lorecall

0- containers created are waterproof.

1- containers and other objects created are immune to chemical corrosion (i.e. they can hold acids safely).

3- all objects created have the strength of steel.

 

Stonemasonry Lorecall

0- resulting objects have +10% hit points.

1- the recipient can see stone switches and moving stone traps easily. Switches are those stones pressed to open doors seen in so many movies.

3- the recipient can create Escher like objects and locations. Stone golems and other constructs have an additional 25% hit dice but the price likewise increases.

 

Now for some class specific NWPs.

 

Tracking Lorecall

0- as a ranger with a 10% bonus.

1- can track someone or thing across water.

3 can track someone or thing through the air. The recipient can also move faster than those tracked and beat them to their next stop. If this option is used, neither side senses the passing of the tracker (i.e. it can not be used to simply catch up, the tracker must travel to the stop).

 

Ancient Languages Lorecall

0- recipient can read one language with complete accuracy.

1- recipient can read several languages with complete accuracy.

3- recipient can read ancient alien languages with complete accuracy. These languages may have very different kinds of writing, including odors, colors, telepathic imprints and anything else the DM can imagine. The only languages it fails to translate are hidden by the gods.

 

Set Snares Lorecall

0- snares can immobilize human sized creatures if they fail their save versus paralyzation.

1- snares can catch creatures up to the size of stone giants.

3- snares can catch creatures up to the size of some dragons and can affect incorporeal, ethereal, astral and any other creature that is normally impossible to touch.

0- cyphers created can only be broken with
