Late Bloomer (d20/Pathfinder Feat)

Michael O. Varhola

My impetus for creating the following OGL/Pathfinder Feat is a product of being a middle-aged gamer and not necessarily wanting to start off with a character 20 to 30 years younger than myself. There are probably a number of other possible feats along these lines we could also try out. Comments are welcome!

Feat: Late  Bloomer [General]
A character with this feat has begun his or her adventuring  career later in life than usual but has benefited as a result.

Prerequisite: 1st level, Middle-aged or older.

Benefit: A character who is a Late Bloomer gains a  full extra  set of skill points at 1st level (to include bonus points for Intelligence, being a Human, and the like).

Special: A character can take this feat multiple times — once for each age category past Young that he starts — and will gain the full additional skill points each time he does. Note that a character with this feat will have gained 1 point in each of Int, Wis, and Cha, and lost one point each in Str, Dex, and Con for each age category past Young that he has progressed.
