Guardians are genetically altered Pure Humans , who were created with the sole purpose of being the guards and protectors for the Hybrids. They are what would be considered to be the perfect human specimen and are in many ways genetically superior to other humans found in the wastelands.

Although not all that intelligent (they were purposely bred to be that way) they do possess powerful Will Power (12+2d4). They are utterly loyal to the Hybrids and have been genetically programmed to treat Hybrids as their literal gods and to obey them no matter what they request.

Physically these humans appear as perfect Pure Human’s . The males average six and a half to seven feet in height and are powerfully built. There is not an ounce of fat on their bodies and they are immensely strong, having a Physical Strength of 16+1d6. Each male weighs around two hundred and fifty pounds. The females are slightly stronger, typically being only six feet to six and a half feet in height and weigh only around one hundred and eighty pounds, but they are just as strong. The skin of these genetically altered humans is very tough and damage resistant. With armor, they are even harder to harm.

Both the males and females have varied hair and eye color, but the most prominent among these genetically modified humans is blond hair and blue eyes, although strangely enough red hair and green eyes are a close second.

Many who interact with these people find them to be dull and single minded. They do not show much in the way of an imagination, and typically the only things that they like to discuss are weapons, combat or sports, or anything involving tactics. They love sports and will often engage in all manner of sports when they are off duty and not working directly for one of the hybrids that they guard.

Also they are capable of sexual intercourse and are able to breed, but only with other members of their particular genome. Mating with Pure Humans or Humans (see Wisdom from the Wasteland issue 4: New Races for more information) will never result in offspring. The gestation period for the females is slightly longer than normal humans, being twelve months and the children grow quickly, reaching physical and sexual maturity in only eight years.

Most of the time they stay together with members of their own kind. They find other humans to be difficult to intermingle with and frankly, most normal humans find these genetically engineered humanoids to be more than a little
