These creatures are found only in tropical locations around the globe. They live in the tallest trees, ruins or even in the hills and mountains that are found in these locations.

Physically, they are almost unchanged from their ancestors, with two exceptions. First, they have developed large bat-like membranes that extend from pouches under their arms, giving the creatures the ability to fly, and secondly, they have massive pointed ears.

Most of these creatures can grow to be up to 2’ in height, and they typically weigh only about 10 pounds. In the wild, they  have been known to live up to 25 years at a time, but those who are raised as pets (and many tropical tribes keep them as pets) can live up to twice that length.

Females reproduce once every 3 years and give birth to 1d3 young. They stay with the mother until they reach physical maturity at 3-4 years of age.

The creatures live together in small groups, typically ranging in size from 10 to 40 individuals. The Females are the leaders of the pride, with the eldest making all the choices and decision for the entire group.

These creatures are very intelligent and highly inquisitive. They are also attracted to shiny objects and as long as they can carry the items in their hind paws, they will typically take it and bring it back to the troop, where it is stored with all manner of similar objects. Some of these hoards can grow quite massive over the years.

If they can, they avoid combat, preferring to take to the sky or climbing higher into the trees or ruins that they inhabit. But if pressed, the small creatures can defend themselves, and a whole mob can inflict very serious damage.

They will make a loud ruckus if any creature comes near their territory, effectively making it impossible for someone to sneak up on them (unless they have a way of masking their odour).

They have been known to make use of dangerous fruit as well. A genetic quirk that makes these creatures immune to toxins such as poisons. As a result, the creatures are capable of snatching fruit (exploding, poisonous, toxic etc.) from various mutant trees and store these item until they rot away (or the Lemurs eat them). Whenever a particularly stubborn intruder shows up, they will use these toxic fruit as literal bombs to try and kill or drive the intruders away.

If captured young (a very difficult task, at best), the creatures make loyal and wonderful pets. Because of their intellect, they can be reasoned with,
