Floral Folk are large masses of plant-life that are able to take humanoid form. They are typically found only in areas that have abundant plant-life, but for some reason, these creatures prefer to live deep in swampy regions.

There are those who believe that these creatures are the creation of the elemental life-force that is part of the Earth itself, which these creatures are capable of controlling all plant life that they encounter.

And of course there are those who simply feel that the Fauna Folk are nothing more than plant life given sentience through pure accident by the radiation and other mutagenic compounds released during and since the final wars.

These creatures are solitary and for the most part simply leave others to their own devices. But, at the same time, they are champions of the world, choosing to side against those who would cause further harm to the earth, or even those who would prey on the weak and helpless.

Lastly, there are those who believe that they are actually the spawn of the Tree Monkey creatures, ones that somehow have managed to free themselves from the control of the mother tree, or were able to find a way to become mobile.

Physically, they appear are large humanoid masses of plant matter. Typically they are between 6’ to 8’ in height, and weigh around 400 pounds. They have a distinct masculine appearance to them and look heavily muscled.

No one knows for sure if the creatures can be killed or not. It is as if their minds are detached from the plant bodies they inhabit. If a body sustains enough damage to be destroyed (reduced to zero hit points), the mind disappears, only to re-appear 1-8 days later in a wholly untouched body.

Mental attacks are the only way to kill the creature once and for all. Two hit point totals have to be kept for the Fauna Folk, one for the body, one for mental attacks. Each will heal at the normal healing rate, but only mental damage will permanently kill them.

In combat, the creatures are capable of using their arms and feet to attack, but they are also capable of growing ‘natural’ plant weapons to use at will. Typically they cause thorns or spikes to grow from their bodies to help defend against any creatures that would attack them physically, and there have been reported occasions where the creatures have been able to use natural plant toxins as well as grenade like fruit. These mutant plants are able to bring to bear only one type of natural weapon per round, and it takes a full round for the
