These creatures are the ‘fighters’ that live in the lower torso of the City Killer Mark 1 . Each Mark 1 carries a compliment of 100 of these drones and if they are killed, the City Killer Mark 1 replaces them at the rate of 1d12 per day.

Physically, they bear little semblance to the City Killer Mark 1. These creatures have 10 Limbs protruding from the middle of their insect like bodies, which they can use for movement or for combat. The heads are massive with 4 eyes (two on either side of the jaw) and another four (again two on either side of the jaw) permanently fixed to the armoured side. When the jaw is closed, the eyes bear an uncanny resemblance to that of a spider.

These creatures are an extension the City Killer Mark 1. It uses the Drones to hunt down targets that might be hiding underground or in locations that the City Killer simply can’t reach. The Drones will if the City Killer is hungry, simply kill targets and drag the corpses back to the City Killer where they will climb the body and deposit the corpse directly into the City Killers stomach.

Other times, if the City Killer is sated but on a mission to destroy a city or community, the Drones will bite and inject a horrific toxin into the target. The target is allowed a save versus poison and if the save succeeds, the target is from there on in immune to the effects. However, if the save fails, then things get bad really fast.

The toxin turns the target into a walking time bomb. For the first 1d6 hours, the target seems fine, but after this time has elapsed, the target begins to develop a fever. After 1d6 turns has elapsed, the target suddenly begins to expand at a frightening rate until it explodes. Anyone caught within 30 feet of the exploding target have to make a save versus poison or become infected by the same toxin.

The Drones share a neural telepathic link with not only the City Killer Mark 1 that spawned them, but their fellow drones. They seem to have the intelligence of an animal and have never shown any ability to use tactics or the like, although when they are hunting as a pack, they do show uncanny abilities to flank or force hidden targets into the open. They have incredible senses of smell and hearing and can easily track creatures in pure darkness by using their ultraviolet vision .

If they are separated from the City Killer Mark 1 for more than 72 hours, they simply die and dissolve into puddles
