For those of you who are reading this, I hope you realize this is an actual video blog as well! Just click on the image in the header of this blog and you can listen to the blog instead of taking the time to read it. Much to my surprise I have something to talk about this blog. So much so, this blog is nearly three times as long as my average blog tends to be. So you have the choice… read it, or watch / listen to the blog! Choice is always a good thing.

This week's D-infinity Challenge was Hometown History! The gauntlet thrown down by artist and frequent guest Amanda Kahl was to take some historical event or series of events in a place where you have lived long enough to have a postal address, and turn it into something gameable - and Ideally - fun!

Features

Welcome to Skirmisher Publishing LLC's d-Infinity Online game magazine! We very much enjoyed meeting you at OwlCon at the Rice University campus in Houston and appreciate you stopping by our booth or playing in one of our games.

Skirmisher Publishing LLC has begun preparing the dozen games and game-oriented events it will be running at Comicpalooza 2012 with an eye to making sure they will be as fun and run as smoothly as possible.

Skirmisher Publishing LLC is pleased to formally announce that it will be attending Comicpalooza 2012 and that it will have a major presence at what has quickly become one of the largest and most exciting conventions in the Southwest (see “'Amazing' Comicpalooza 2011 a Hit with Fans”). This major pop culture convention will be held May 25-27 at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, Texas.

To say we are staying busy at Skirmisher HQ would be a bit of an understatement and it would be more accurate to note that we are currently in production with more projects then we ever have been before. Here's what we've got going on:

Staying busy this week working on a number of exciting Skirmisher projects! These include:

* Getting ready to send to print one of our two H.G. Wells books, Little Wars, in time to have copies available for Gen Con.

* Just received five great line drawings from artist Sharon Daugherty for use with Chris Van Deelen's Creatures of the Tropical Wastes, which is very nearly done and now one step closer to being ready for release.

Some 10,000 people decided to spend a big part of their Memorial Day weekend at Comicpalooza, a relatively new fantasy, sci-fi, and comic book convention in Houston that has quickly become the biggest and hottest event of its kind in Texas. The fourth-annual event was held May 27-29 at the George R. Brown Convention Center and was attended by many people from the San Antonio area, who made the relatively short road trip down IH 10 to the Lone Star State’s biggest city.

Welcome to d-infinity's first-ever Easter-Egg Hunt! In d-Infinity Volume #2 -- appropriately themed "Lost Treasure" -- we deliberately included in one of the articles elements tying in with a classic game product from about 30 years ago (plus or minus two or three years).
