Riffing on the system that I developed for Runequest, based on Chris Nan Deelen’s article detailing the Brute Tattoo, I decided to write up a system for magical Tattoos in Ragnarok! The RPG of the Viking Apocalypse.

Every hero has qualities that define him or her. Is she strong as an ox, lithe as a dancer, a potent mage, or a legendary storyteller or bard? Maybe more than one of the above.

In Ragnarok, we define what heroes, and villains, are good at in two main ways.

One of the things that has always been in the minds of Michael O. Varhola and I regarding the design of Ragnarok the RPG is that it be compatible with a skirmish level game (wherein players control between 10 and 30 figures and fight out battles with miniatures on a tabletop).

A couple of weeks back, I talked about the Norn Die in Ragnarok, the RPG of the Viking Apocalypse!

I have, until the absolute shutdown imposed by the holiday season - been working pretty strong on development for Ragnarok the RPG of the Viking Apocalypse.
