As I wrap up development on the Swords of Infinity system reference documents it is a good time to reflect on some of the decisions I made during development and, hopefully, give people an interesting insight into my design process.

As I wrap up development on the Swords of Infinity system reference documents it is a good time to reflect on some of the decisions I made during development and, hopefully, give people an interesting insight into such things. Swords of Infinity is a role-playing game designed to evoke the same feeling as swords and sorcery stories written by authors such as Fritz Lieber, Robert E. Howard, Michael Moorcock, and the like.

The question that serves as the title for this post came from d-Infinity Live! super-fan El Sijo, and ended up being what I consider the most provocative question asked during last night's episode, "Let's Play Orcs". The question seems simple at the face of it, but after the hour long discussion I had with my co-hosts on Orcs, I found it to be the one that I was thinking about most after I stopped broadcasting last night.

Inspired by Mike's own campaign report, I have decided to post a similar recap of my own weekly game sessions -- with a twist. This week we started an entirely new party of adventuring Gnomes on a quest to fix and clear out an ancient Theran weapons factory for profit!
This is the tale, as told by the last living monster encountered by the party.

With the recent release of the first volume in the Sword’s of Kos campaign setting, Kos City, I felt it made sense to explain the process I went through when writing the place description for Greener Pastures, a livery stable just outside of Kos city’s west gate.
